Art Series at Discovery Green
Venue: Discovery Green Phone: 713-400-7336Start Date: September 3, 2010End Date: September 17, 2010Discovery Green's Art Series, which brings films, dance and music to the park, continues Sept. 3-17 with an outdoor sculpture exhibition called Las Comadres Recycled presented by Talento Bilingue de Houston. The sculptures will be on display during park hours.
Discovery Green is a 12-acre park located in the heart of downtown Houston. Created as a partnership between the City of Houston and the Discovery Green Conservancy in 2008, it has hosted more than 800 public and private events, most of which are free, and welcomed more than 1 million visitors. It is located at 1500 McKinney, near the George R. Brown Convention Center and the Hilton Americas. It is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Naz Nite was established for the purpose of bringing together Nazarenes from the South Central Nazarene region for fun and fellowship and to feature the importance and value of Christian higher education at Southern Nazarene University.

Known affectionately as "The Chicken Ranch" to it's customers, the tiny Texas brothel run by Miss Mona does a successful business during the Depression in the tiny town of Gilbert. Unfortunately, it has its' enemies, including Melvin P. Thorpe, a television commentator who goes on a crusade to shut down the Ranch. Miss Mona and her girls are unconcerned but her old friend, Sheriff Earl Dodd and the rest of the town wait anxiously for the outcome.
